Amid the rolling hills where one mountain ridge leads to another, the journey to school for children in remote areas remains full of challenges. Crossing two or three hills, climbing steep and slippery slopes — their little feet keep moving forward, and their eyes still light up with joy whenever they talk about school. A new school year quietly knocks on the door. With worn backpacks on their shoulders and the cool breeze of autumn soon giving way to winter, those tiny feet still walk to class every day — sometimes in old sandals, sometimes barefoot — yet their smiles shine brightly, just like the first day of school.
This year, the “Journey of Love” from DTS Software Vietnam’s Back to School – Season 4 project set off for Van An Kindergarten, located in Chi Lang District, Lang Son Province, bringing warmth and kindness to the children there through thoughtful gifts:
-
300 pairs of shoes and sandals
-
131 preschool backpacks
-
10 dance costumes
-
200 mooncakes and assorted sweets
-
56 study gift sets for 5-year-old children

It was pure joy to see the bright smiles and excitement of the Van An children as they picked their favorite gifts — trying on their new shoes, carrying colorful backpacks decorated with cartoon characters they had only seen on TV.
And our hearts were warmed as we watched them enjoy the taste of the Mid-Autumn Festival a little early this year — savoring sweet mooncakes filled with care and affection.

This meaningful journey was made complete thanks to the collective support of over 200 DTS Vietnam members, along with five kindergartens in Hanoi, Hai Duong, and Hai Phong, Jobo Wagashi bakery, and many generous donors. Together, they helped DTS Vietnam deliver small yet heartfelt gifts — so that every step to school becomes steadier, and every school day shines a little brighter.
As we waved goodbye to the children of Van An Kindergarten — with their cheerful laughter and tiny waving hands — we left with a promise: We will return, to share more love and continue the journey of “chasing letters” — a journey filled with hope and kindness.
